FAQ

Frequently asked questions

JavClaw is a local-first desktop organizer, not a streaming service or cloud media locker.

Does JavClaw upload my media files?

No. JavClaw is local-first. Your files and folder structure stay on your machine. Cloud calls are limited to normalized metadata lookup and do not ingest filenames or local paths.

Is the beta publicly downloadable today?

Not yet. Access is invite-only while we qualify heavier library owners, interview active organizers, and match testers by OS.

What catalog formats are supported first?

Phase 1 focuses on standard JAV catalog workflows. It is designed for people who already keep local libraries and need renaming, metadata fill, migration, and searchability.

Is JavClaw a streaming or cloud locker service?

No. JavClaw is a desktop organizer. It does not host videos, stream media, or sync libraries to a shared cloud destination.
